John, 1. The AL Post 60 meeting has been moved to November 14. 2. Post 60’s Tuesday Burger Night is November 5, 2024, members helping need to be at the Elks lodge by 5:30pm, ordering begins at 6:00pm. 3. I will not be able to attend the AISD Superintendents Luncheon on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, I have my annual physical scheduled that day at 1:00pm. If you can send out an Email to our post members to notify them of our meeting rescheduled date and for the Tuesday burger night at the Elks lodge. POST 60 MESSAGE BOARD AUGUST 2024 We encourage you to help and if you cannot help, attend events and support fundraising. It all goes to Veteran causes. We take care of our own. November 3 End Daylight Savings – Don’t forget to turn your clocks back. November 5 Election Day – We served for the right so please do not forget to vote. Burger Night by Post 60 from 1900-2000. November 10 Elk’s Military Ball ~ Military Appreciation Dinner and Dance. Must have a ticket. Call the Elk’s. November 10 Marine Birthday Celebration ~ 1400 to 1600 November 11 Veterans Day ~ Don’t forget about the Arlington Parade. I would love to see the HELO flyover. November 14 Monthly Post Meeting ~ American Legion Post 60 1900-2000. November 26 Thanksgiving Day ~ Celebrate with family and friends. Be safe if travelling. December 26 Monthly Post Meeting ~ American Legion Post 60 1900-2000. Will be decided at the Nov 14th meeting.
