American Legion Post 60 Newsletter May 2017
American Legion depends on its members to step up and take leadership positions in order
to keep the post active. I'm asking our members to think about stepping up we still have
several positions to fill. Thank You for your service.

Our current membership stands at 351 members. April closed with 257 members paid,
97.72% of our 2017 membership goal. Just 6 more members to make 100%. Those that
have not renewed for the 2017 membership year, please do so at your earliest opportunity.

At the April meeting, we had nominations of officers for the 2017 2018 year.
Elections will be held at the May meeting. The nominees are as follows;

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 60 has asked the Legionnaires support in increasing their membership.
They want your eligible family members to join the unit. Applications are available at the Lodge.
Also, female veterans can be dual members as well.

May 29th Monday Memorial Day Ceremony 11:00 am, in cooperation with American Legion Post 60,
Riders, Auxiliaries and VFW Post 8561. Reception to follow in the lounge.
We are located at 601 W Pioneer Pkwy Arlington, TX 76010.
The ELKS Lodge #2114 has agreed to sponsor our post at their Lodge.
As a non-member of the ELKS, you will need to be signed in as a guest.
We will have a member of the ELKS there to sign you in. On meeting nights,
the last Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm, you can sign yourself in,
just enter your name and post 60. We hope that this will enable our post to grow and prosper.
