MESSAGE FROM THE COMMANDER
October is off and running. See the following for the agenda for the month.
10/3: Legion Burger night. Big crowd. Unit 60 Auxiliary collected $142.00 on their 50/50 raffle.
10/8: Navy Birthday party at the Post. 2:00pm thru End of Cowboy game. Belt Buckle raffle drawing.
10/14: Post 60 AL Riders first annual car show. On the parking lot at the Post 10:00am to 3:00pm.
Burgers, Hot Dogs, and Beverages will be available for sale.
10/26: Post monthly business meeting at 7:00 pm followed by AL Riders meeting
10/28: District 12 fall convention at the Post. Volunteers are needed. More information to follow on this.
this date, immediately following the close of the District meeting,
we will have the drawings on both the “Green Egg” raffle
and the raffle for the the 30/30 Henry lever action rifle.
10/29: Sunday breakfast by the Post. 9 to 11:30. 6 bucks gets you a great breakfast.
Eggs, bacon, sausage,
hash browns, pancakes, biscuits & gravy,
fruit, orange juice, milk, and coffee.
We also do eggs to order.
No extra charge. You even get coffee refills.

Our current membership stands at 322 members.
September finished with 176 members paid, 66.92% of our 2018 membership goal.
There will be a renewal mail-out by National the first part of October.
Get ahead of the holidays and renew your 2018 membership now.

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 60 has asked the Legionnaires support in increasing their membership.
They want your eligible family members to join the unit. Applications are available at the Lodge.
Female veterans can be dual members as well.

Oct 28th Saturday District Fall Convention at the Lodge. Registration begins at 7 am, training at 9 am,
joint session at 11:30 am and the business session at 1:30 pm.
Oct 28th Saturday Raffle Draw ~ Large Green Egg Grill ~ after close of Convention.

The ELKS Lodge #2114 has agreed to sponsor our post at their Lodge.
As a non-member of the ELKS, you will need to be signed in as a guest.
We will have a member of the ELKS there to sign you in.
On meeting nights, the last Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm, you can sign yourself in,
just enter your name and post 60.
We hope that this will enable our post to grow and prosper.
